Digitally Printed & Fused Train

Make a 5 or 6 piece custom-printed train of custom-printed, “no-sew” Ohashi-style kites designed to fly in both light (Seattle) and strong (coastal) winds. Ripstop polyester sails will be printed in advance from art that can be a series of original photos or scanned or digitally created art you send (specifications provided when you register – or feel free to email Ken Conrad with your questions).

You will put the kites together with fusible adhesive. After years of using plastic trains made with adhesive tape that dries and fails or is degraded by sand or dust … or using small sewn fabric kites with their own limitations, Ken developed this construction technique which produces clean, permanent and durable results! You’ll assemble your trains with an equally efficient system of 2-way knots and removable train lines.

The finished train is a lively but reliable, tangle-free and impressive flier.
