Who is “Fighter" Dave Young?
For almost 30 years, Dave Young has been flying, promoting and advancing kite fighting. He is among the most formidable line touch and precision competitors. His multiple first place wins at the AKA nationals is testimony to his skill. He is a long time member of the North American Fighter Kite Association. But more than that, Fighter Dave is a devoted teacher and kite innovator. He has taught fighter kite making for decades and even uses kites in school classes to teach STEM subjects.
He has researched and refined many kite classic designs from all over the world and brought to life new kites such as the Bruzillian and the Blakenator. Champion kites.
His many varied forms of fighters are built to be controllable and competition ready. They are so well balanced and straight tracking that new flyers can quickly learn on them and still not outgrow their capabilities.
If you want to learn the sport of kite fighting, there is no more qualified and generous mentor.
