What do I bring to U-MAKE? (Equipment)

Don’t worry if you don’t have a particular item because others will share and explain the benefits of the particular type of applique scissors or table top table. There is sometimes a difference in seam rippers! It is amazing the things we learn at Kitemaking Events!

And don't over-pack! If think you won't use it, don't bring it. If you think maybe...check with your classmates...will one be available for you to use in class?

Here is a partial list of items that you may want to bring. For our projects that involve sewing—bring a sewing machine THAT YOU HAVE SEWED ON AND KNOW HOW TO OPERATE IT. Bring the foot treadle, too. And things like pre-wound bobbins, thread, seam ripper, scissors, utility knives and your portable table top sewing table.

  • Item for Raffle Madness

  • Cash for Raffle Tickets

  • Sewing machine

  • Power strip & Extension cord

  • Sewing machine needles

  • Threads

  • Utility knife with sharp blades

  • Hot cutters

  • Cash for Raffle Tickets

  • Scissors -- both large and embroidery

  • Pens, pencils, and sharpener

  • Notebook and paper or camera

  • Pattern material (heavy paper for tracing patterns)

  • Blue tape and/or scotch tape
