David Anderson is a young kite flier, designer, and maker from outside Chicago who sees kites as both a canvas for flying art and an interesting engineering challenge. He started flying quad-line kites at nine years old and is currently a member of 180Go! and Team No Knots. He made his first kites at UMAKE 2019 and this is his first time teaching. David competed with a prototype of the Whisper Quad at the 2025 AKA National Convention in Niagara Falls, earning 2nd place in the Sport Kite Category, Highest Score for Craftsmanship, and the Novice Kitemaker award.Â
