SIZE OF PROJECT: Bucket Tail is 7 inch in diameter and 8 feet long   Fuzzy Tail Board is approximately 6 inches wide by 18 inches long.  

Fuzzy tails add interest to nearly any kite, but they are a pain to cut!   

Bucket Tails add a high amount of concentrated drag relative to their physical size, but they look hard to make.  

Ed can help with both of these issues!

Use this great Fuzzy Tail Board with Ed and simplify making fuzzy tails!  Each class member will get a handy fuzzy tail cutting board that make tails fast and consistent for any size. Students will need to bring a rotary cutter and a straight edge.  Materials will be provided to practice using the unit to make a 6-inch wide, 10-foot long tail of limited color(s) of their choice. Longer tails may necessitate an upcharge, or they can bring their own extra fabric and we can cut the strips in the classroom. 

Each class member will also get material and instructions on how to make a bucket tail. The bucket tail is surprisingly easy....if you know the secret!  The class project will be to make an 8-foot-long bucket tail, approximately 7-inches in diameter. Each class member will get bucket tail templates for the class project and for a size larger and smaller to trace. The materials supplied will be for one solid color, but they can add an accent color of their choice for an extra charge or by bringing a minimum of 1 yard of their own accent fabric. We can cut the panels in the classroom.

ART/COLOR CHOICE:  

Bucket Tails....Choose 1 color choice for the bucket tail.  If students want an accent color with their bucket tail, please bring 1 yard minimum of each accent color to class.

Color Choices for Bucket Tail, Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Purple, Orange or Green

Fuzzy Tails..... A variety of colors (6 inch wide strips) will be available in class for your choice of fuzzy tail.    If you want a particular color to be inclued in your fuzzy tail, please bring it.
