Every year I have one or more kite workshops in my home. I love being with friends who are enthusiastic about making kites, sharing ideas and being creative. Each workshop has a pre-party repair workshop where we go through kites and make all the kite repairs needed to get everyone’s kites ready for flying.
Ten years ago I opened an online Kite Kit store, “Kites In The Sky”.
I sell kite kits and accessories that are perfect for festivals, kite making events and birthdays. I take the work out of workshops, providing quality parts for kites that really fly. www.kitekits.com
Cat writes....I started learning about Kites in the mid 1980’s, but it was not until right around 2000 when kiting really started becoming an integral part of my life.
I love most all things kites and attend every kiting event I can.
An AKA member, Cat enjoys flying in Fighter Kite and Rokkaku competitions. She is a contributor to the AKA Kiting magazine, served as AKA Convention Workshop Chair and received the AKA Volunteer of the Year Award.
Over the past 20 years I’ve had the good fortune of being able to work with Marti and Richard Dermer in over 100 workshop presentations; teaching about kites, kite history and how to make simple, great flying kites.
For 10 years I managed the perpetual kite displays in 11 of the Hideaway-2 Pizza Restaurants, in OKC, Tulsa, Edmond and Norman.
