Grant Lovett says...."I own at least 12 Holm Struck kites of 8 different designs, 9 have been sewn by me. Of those, 4 of the kites were sewn from kits where I had not taken the class, using only the kit included instructions. His kits are always complete and well organized. I have always found his instructions clear, well illustrated and thorough. "

The Tri-Ka-Doo (tri KA doo) is an Eddy style kite. The design looks like three (Tri) Eddy kites. The design of intersecting lines on the white part reminds us a little of the game Mikado (pick-a-stick). It influenced the KA-Doo part of the name for the kite. The kit will also include material to make a tail for it.

This kite is simple to assemble. All kits will have a white main sail, plus two strips of white, two strips of grey, two strips of black and two strips of unique colors. Kit selection will take place at the beginning of class, with many color combinations to choose from. Even the last one to choose will have several colors to pick from. With the provided materials, there are a possible 48 different combinations. All stripes can be combined in any configuration.

See the graphics on the slideshow pictures for ideas. There really is a possibility of 48 different layouts with each kit.

Supplies/Equipment Needed for class -- Sewing machine, notions, straight edge, pencil and good thread.
