The Kondor is designed by Markus “Domino” Egger of Switzerland. Several years ago, Erhard Kunzelmann introduced us to this kite and it has quickly become one of our favorites to fly on light wind days. The simple, elegant shape is wonderful to see flying, either alone, or in a Condo of Kondors. It is perfect for spontaneous group flies.
This is a relatively easy kite to sew. The shape and handling of this kite also makes it a great kite to have in the more experienced kitebuilder's bag.
As well as basic kite construction, we will be covering techniques and tips for using double sided tape.
We will be teaching the full size Kondor. For these participants, we are also offering the opportunity to also make a matching mini Kondor. You may even be able to finish both kites in this one day class.
The large Kondor performs best in light, steady winds.
Supplies/Equipment Needed for class -- Sewing Machine, thread, ripper, scissors and regular sewing supplies. We will be using double sided tape in this class.
