Description: This is a short workshop to acquaint folks with “tossing” or “dropping” bird gliders from the sky which is done mostly at kite festivals.
Participants will receive a pattern for the small bird gliders and will make and take a few home.
Also, plans will discussed and be available for:
A remote controlled system for “dropping” gliders in large numbers from a kite line.
A system for “tossing” a smaller number of gliders into the air between two large Frisbee s which open to release the birds.
If time permits, we will also review a system for using a messenger to send a small number of gliders up the kite line for release.
