It has been my joy and privilege to teach classes at U-MAKE, MAKR, Fort Worden, Oregon Kitemakers Retreat, Keystone Kiters Retreat, and many club events in Minnesota-Wisconsin and Rhode Island.

Although my personal kites tend towards the elaborate with multiple patterns and colors, my favorite class project is one that offers success to beginners and new tips to the experienced.

Since leaving the AKA board after 3 years as president, several years as vice-president, regional director and director at large (10 years total), I have been able to indulge my love of travel. Last April found me in China attending the Beijing and Weifang festivals. Kiters are the same no matter the language, always on the lookout for that kite you have never seen before and wanting to see the back to check out the structure. Want to go with me next April?

My husband, Alex, shares my love of kites. Heck, he was the one to bring home a kite and suggest that I make more. See you on the kite field! Time to fly!
