Ron Bohart

A former advertising art director and accomplished watercolor artist, Ron Bohart has made kites for less than 2 decades. And in that time he has traveled the world as an invited guest at kite festivals.

Without being dependent on standard commercially dyed ripstop, Ron can create endless colors from his one large roll of 3/4 oz ripstop, one shade at a time.

Ron Bohart is known for his very realistic detailed kites, reflecting the trained artist behind the vision.

Join Ron as he shares his techniques and knowledge of dying ripstop, the best ways to get the colors/tints you want, and most importantly what NOT to do......which is use those dye pots for food afterwards even if you have washed them well.
